Everybody Wants The “D”

It’s hard to explain a Tenacious D concert to the everyday person, but I will try. This might even be the weirdest tour/album to date.

The setlist for the night was divided to showcase their new album and their “greatest hits”. In the first part for the album Post-Apocalypto, the songs were accompanied by clips from their animated series; which you really have to watch for yourself as I cannot properly explain the absurdity. Definitely NSFW by the way.

The second half of the night was filled with songs that almost everybody has heard and can’t get enough of. The sold-out crowd sang along with every word. Jack and Kyle have so much passion and joy for their music and it really shows.

This crazy rock show is a fantastic time that you really shouldn’t miss!

Lauren has been a photographer in the Chicago/Northwest Indiana area since 2004. She has been taking pictures her whole life but has found a love for concert photography especially. She loves to find those amazing moments that come with live music and freeze them forever. Some of the unique acts she has covered (and loves!) are HIM, Emilie Autumn, The Dresden Dolls, and Evanescence. When not taking photos of musicians she can usually be found listening to music any chance she gets. She's also a sucker for a good sunset shot!
